Applications

Where technical review adds value

The process starts with the buyer’s intended application and converts it into requirements that can be discussed and checked.

New product specification

Define the format, dimensions, stretch, colour, roll configuration and operating context before production is quoted.

Existing SKU comparison

Bring the complete current specification and the criteria that matter to the purchasing decision.

Customer-specific requirement

Agree which R&D or testing capabilities are relevant to the request rather than applying an unsupported generic claim.

Technical range

Available specifications

Use the values below as the starting point for a quotation. Include roll length or weight and expected quantity in the request.

The table defines the request data used to agree a relevant review scope; it does not imply an unconfirmed test result or certification.

ScopeRelevant R&D or testing capabilities agreed for the project

The relevant equipment and method must be agreed for the project. Availability does not imply a certification or a pre-agreed result.

Customization

Define the review before defining the result

Supply the application brief

Describe the wrapping or packing method, goods, equipment context and current product where applicable.

State measurable requirements

List the product specification, relevant acceptance criteria and any standard or documentation requirement that needs to be reviewed.

Agree the applicable scope

Confirm which available R&D or testing capabilities apply and what information should be returned for the project.

Buyer guidance

Specification control

Every useful review needs a controlled reference: product type, width, thickness, stretch percentage, colour, roll length or weight, core details where relevant and any PCR-content request. Commercial packaging details such as labels and cartons should map to the same confirmed SKU.

When requirements change, the revised values should be recorded explicitly so the quotation and product discussion refer to the same version.

Buyer guidance

Testing tied to the buyer’s brief

Available testing is discussed against the specific buyer brief. Any required standard, method, acceptance criterion or documentation should be identified in the enquiry and confirmed for the project.

Ask about the capability relevant to your application and include the complete product specification in the RFQ.
